Singapore 2002

BCR's first Receivables Finance International Asia-Pacific conference was held in the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel in Singapore 11 - 13 March 2002.

Asia-Pacific accounts for a GDP of US$15 trillion and in 2000 a factoring volume of US$77 billion. However, the potential for the region is much greater, with China alone having the real prospect of becoming one of the largest single markets for factoring in the world within a few years.

A panel of speakers fields questions on China

Senior factoring executives from 14 countries converged to listen to high-level presentations, network and actively exchange ideas and views on the latest thinking on the future of receivables finance in the region.

Speakers included Jan Becher, Jeroen Kohnstamm, David Robertson, Clive Isenberg, Veena Mankar, Bart Pattyn and Richard Yorke.
